Our Cause - Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute
One of our greatest priorities here at CAPRI Events is giving back to the local communities that make our events possible. Our 2010 Official Charity, The Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute, will be accepting valuable donations from our participants through online and in-person registration for the race. To individuals and companies looking for a broader scope of opportunities to support the Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute, VIP Event Donor Packages are also available.
What is the Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute?
Primary brain tumors affect nearly 20,000 Americans each year, and every year more than half die as a result. For young adults ages 30 to 39, brain tumors are the third-leading cause of death among men and the fifth-leading among women. The Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute (NBTI) is a collaboration of the Robert H Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University, the Feinberg School of Medicine and Northwestern Memorial Hospital. It was established to merge medical research with state-of-the-art comprehensive care in order to better manage and treat patients with brain tumors.

How Can I Donate?
All registrants for the 2010 event will have the option of including a monetary donation in addition to the sign up fee. Just check the appropriate denomination box on either your online or paper registration form and include the desired amount in your payment. It's just that easy! REGISTER NOW!
How Much Can I Donate?
Donations in $5, $10, $25, and $50 dollar donations may be included with your event registration fee.
What If I Want To Give More?
For those who would like to donate more than $50, they may do so within the NBTI Event Website.
Are There Donation Levels Or Tiers?
Yes. Those who choose to donate at the $50 level or higher will receive an event gift bag and grey Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute bracelet! You can also become a VIP Charity Sponsor. VIP Charity Sponsor Packages begin at $1,000 and include entries to the race, a grey Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute bracelet, as well access to fabulous pre- and post-race activities.
