Race Day

Both Half Marathon and 10K races will start just steps away from Chicago’s Lake Michigan waterfront alongside the Chicago River, taking runners south along Chicago’s scenic lakefront path. The two loop, half marathon course (one loop 10K course) then continues through the city’s historic museum campus, alongside Soldier Field and will finish up at The Park at Lakeshore East where runners will celebrate their achievements at our one of a kind post race picnic. Children 12 years of age and younger will also have their chance to compete in the ‘Junior Dash’ around the Park at Lakeshore East.

Participants should stay to the right while running on the course. There will be two-way traffic for the Half Marathon between the north side of the aquarium and the turn around point. There will be two-way traffic for the 10K between the north side of the aquarium to the turn around point just after mile three.

MUCH OF THE RUN COURSE WILL REMAIN OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, SO BE PREPARED TO HEED THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE POLICE AND COURSE MARSHALS.
